June 7 Day 21 Juneau-Tracey Arm, rain off and on. Cool.

Boy, oh, boy!  Did I get an ear full from Lana and Chuck when they returned from their 10 hour day trip to Tracey Arm.  For those who care, I stayed home and the owner of the campground took me for walks to meet other campers and her grandmother.  She just loved me to bits!  I'll try to get a picture of her for you all.  Since this was such an eventful day,  Lana's going to break it into to about 3 segments.
On our way to Tracey Arm in a very comfortable, but nothing fancy, excursion boat.

South Sawyer Glacier.  Very majestic!  Unfortunately these glaciers are receding at an alarming rate....although this one will take a much longer time than the Mendenhall Glacier from yesterday.  That glacier is receding 150 feet per year, an unprecedented rate.

Even though eagles are almost as common as the crows in Alaska this eagle on an iceberg is an exceptionally beautiful picture Mike captured on this excurtion.
To be cont'd......
