June 16, Day 30 Tok , upper 60's

Tok is a little town of 1,258 people (very hardy people), but what it's famous for is their weather.  It is the coldest inhabited town on the North American continent.  Ironically, it was warmer here than every other place we've visited so far.  Because a storm was forecasted for Valdez we stayed here for an extra day.

Chuck got some playing in before and after dinner.

Incase you hadn't thought of it, this is the time in Alaska when it doesn't get dark.  This picture was taken at 11:30 PM

And this one at 1:30 AM.

No neat hikes at this location but it was time we just rested up and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Hold your tail high and keep it a waggin'
