.Day 10 and 11 Ketchikan to Wrangell 61F

Good bye Ketchikan, sad to leave such a beautiful place.
We boarded the ferry at 5:45 PM and arrived in Wrangell at 12:45AM.  Got to the Wrangell Campground at Shoemaker Bay and hit the sack at 2:30 AM.  Boy, was I tired!  Here's a view form our Camper,  It just gets better and better.
This is the beach we are camped on.  Sammy, one of my fellow travelers came down with us to the beach. Lana really likes him and feeds him table scraps so now she has to take him for walks so he loses the extra calories she puts on him.
Lana and Chuck, and Dorothy and Mike took a a jet boat ride out on the Stikine River which means "The Great River" originating in BC and continuing 400 miles to Wrangell. These icebergs will melt this summer.
Here is a video of a moose we came across on our ride.  It was a long way for her to swim.  Don't know why she wanted to get to the other side, the two sides looked the same to Lana.
Hold your tail high and keep it a waggin'
Jack

  1. Sounds like quite an adventure. Really liked the video of the moose. It does look rather chilly though. The jet boat ride seems like it would have been lots of fun. Keep the blogs coming Jack and safe travels to all.
